Storage Space Running Out

I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4. Recently, I started getting notifications that the storage space was running out. I've deleted a ton of stuff and inserted a micro sd card to transfer documents and photos onto. This has not worked! I'm still getting the notifications. My husband, inadvertently, deleted the photos from the sd card storage, thinking they were on the device. So, we've lost all those now. I need to know how to increase storage space and, hopefully retrieve the deleted photos. Thanks!

Hi Darlene,
Don't know if you have but I would....
(a) run a file cleaning app such as ccleaner or equivalent to remove all those unwanted temp files are
(b) move all my moveable apps to sdcard. App manager 3 is good for this from play store unless your device allows you to do in without the app by SETTINGS...APPLICATIONS....STORAGE....MOVE TO EXTERNAL STORAGE.
(c) as you mentioned, move all that you can to sdcard.
