I thought I had this once before but somehow I lost it.
When I connect my Moto e6 to my computer, the devices section reports that it is connected but the computer does not see the files in the phone. In this case, the pics. I know it worked in the past because I was able to load my ring tones into the phone.
Is there a setting that became unset?

When you connect the phone it asks you what you want to do with it. You are probably just charging.

Ok, there it is...
I do not see a prompt automatically.
I have to look for the option in a swipe down menu.

It should be on the screen of your computer too
