no forum for the note 9 yet ?
well, here is my problem : I use a workout app, MapMyWalk which, on all my previous phones (Galaxy Note 4 - android 6 and Huawei Y6 - android 9), placed a window on the LOCK SCREEN so that I could stop and restart the app without unlocking the phone :
on the Note 9, android 9, I can't manage to get this
so I hope some of you know how to do... and will share knowledge

Try to look settings display lock screen widgets, it happens that some applications are hidden in the background on the new versions.

There should be a widget along with your MapMyWalk app.
Go to the widgets settings of your Note 9. There you may have that widget showed on your home screen.
Download size < 0.08 MB. But also Ad-free, Pure & Accurate enough.
